MyKydd

For K-12 schools in India

Every kid, every day,
actually tracked.

MyKydd runs attendance, homework, bus tracking, guardian pickup, meals, and fees for your school, in one place, with real audit trails and role-based access. Not a tracking app pretending to be a platform.

In pilot with a school in Hyderabad. We have room for two more schools this year.

Right now your school runs on 12 WhatsApp groups, a paper attendance register, an Excel sheet with student contacts, and a driver who calls the office when the bus is late. Somewhere in there, information gets lost. Someone's kid gets forgotten. A payment goes unrecorded.

That's what MyKydd is for.

What's in the box

Six workflows the school office actually does every day. No feature bloat, no half-built modules.

📝

Attendance that actually holds up

Teachers mark their section the same day. Corrections after midnight require staff sign-off. Nobody quietly changes yesterday's register.

📢

Homework and announcements, one channel

Teachers post it once. Every linked parent sees it. No forwarded photos of a blackboard in three different WhatsApp groups.

📍

Live bus tracking

Parents open the app, see the bus on the map. Boarding, approach, and arrival pushes fire the moment they happen.

🤝

Only the right adult picks up

Guardians are verified in advance. Drivers confirm each handoff before letting the student off. School Admin can override in an emergency, and every override is logged.

🍱

Meals actually recorded

Meal Manager sets the daily menu. Canteen terminal records who was served. One record per student per meal per day, no double-counting, no arguments.

💰

Fees without the spreadsheet

Issue invoices, record cash / cheque / bank-transfer payments, and run reports. Adjustments need School Admin approval. Finance Officer can't clear their own request.

Roles the school office already has

Not "users" and "admins". The actual jobs people do. Enforced on the server, not just hidden from the menu.

School Admin
The person the buck stops with. Sets policy, approves adjustments, reviews audit.
Office Staff
Fixes what needs fixing: attendance corrections, pickup contacts, meal reversals.
Teacher
Only sees their sections. Attendance, homework, announcements. Not finance, not fleet.
Finance Officer
Issues invoices, records payments. Requests adjustments, but never approves their own.
Driver
Sees the assigned route and manifest. GPS runs while the trip is active. That's the job.
Parent / Guardian
Their kids, their bus, their invoices. Nothing about anyone else's family.

Getting started

A calm rollout. Not a scavenger hunt for CSVs.

1

Onboard your school

We help you configure grades, sections, teachers, students, routes, buses, and staff. Most schools are ready in a week.

2

Everyone signs in

Staff log in on the admin dashboard. Parents and drivers install the mobile app. One-tap phone login, no passwords to reset.

3

The school runs on MyKydd

Everything that used to live in WhatsApp, Excel, and paper ledgers now lives in one place, with an audit trail.

Built the way a school's data should be handled

Every school's data is isolated at the database layer. No shared table where School A can accidentally query School B. Every sensitive action (attendance change, pickup override, meal reversal, invoice adjustment) writes an immutable audit row. Parents sign in with a Firebase-verified phone. No shared passwords, no reused OTPs. Backend runs on Oracle Cloud, database on Neon Postgres in Singapore.

A note on where we are

MyKydd is in pilot with one school. The software is working with real parents, real drivers, real buses. We're deliberately keeping the pilot small so we can respond to feedback fast and get the details right before scaling. If you want to be an early partner, we'd love to talk.
